With 27 years of experience in the field of recovery from addictions, 17 years writing policy and procedures, 24 years working on grant compliance, and a career filled with working with stakeholders, I feel most fulfilled when I can bring quality services to at-risk populations. As Executive Director of Solutions Education Center, Inc., I have been able to expand access to intervention opportunities to youth and adults and to focus on contributing to safe, stable and prosperous families and communities.

Prior to accepting the position of Chief Operating Officer of Solutions Education Center, Inc., Simone Henderson served on the Board of Directors and specialized in curriculum and research. Ms. Henderson joined Solutions Education Center’s staff as the Youth Coordinator. Her motivation to expand her impact with clients and her drive for excellence in her professional pursuits led her to seek professional licensure and she attained her licensed alcohol and drug abuse counselor certification (LADAC) as well as Nationally Certified Addiction Counselor credentials and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Henderson has worked directly with outpatient treatment programs, youth programs and DUI programs as well as direct individual services. Ms. Henderson is a respected colleague among the community stakeholders who value her role with the criminal justice system and her technical knowledge that lends to grant program delivery and compliance.
